Minna: House Blasts Executive Again As Tensions Continue

Minna City center
The Niger state House of Assembly has lambasted the Ministry of Works over the poor infrastructural development being witnessed in the state.

Member of the State House Committee on infrastructural development, Jibrin Ndagi
Baba, threw the challenge at the commissioner for works, Mohammed Panti, during the Ministry’s budget screening at the state house today.

Major emphasis was laid on the poor state of roads in the state. Other members of the House backed the allegations of gross under performance by the Ministry. One of them was Bashir Lokogoma, a representative of Wushishi Local government area.

Tensions have been running high between the executive and the Legislative in Niger state after the legislators accused the government of Abubakar Sani Bello of ‘mismanaging’ 126 billion naira in 2019.
