10th April 2021 will remain a day of mystery for many, especially the ardent listeners of the campus radio station of the Federal University of Technology Minna, Search FM 92.3.
Ace presenter, Mr Odafe Imogu, passed away at around 9pm after a sudden slump. He was pronounced dead on arrival by authorities at the university clinic at the main campus in Gidan Kwano.
Prior to his demise, he was Head of Research at the station and anchored the stations foremost programme, The Morning Ride.
Burial arrangements were announced by his father, Mr Omasan Daniel Imogu, on 19th April.
Odafe Imogu was born on 13th May 1988 in Zaria, Kaduna state and lived in Lagos for some time.
He gained admission into the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Federal University of Technology Minna in 2008.
He obtained his B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering in 2013, completed his youth service in 2014 and was retained by the university for his excellent service.
He commenced studies for a Masters degree in the same department and was due to bag his M. Tech degree in 2019. It was however delayed by the Covid-19 lockdown.
He joined the ranks of the Radio Station in 2010 as a young student of the university.
He was laid to rest today, 24th April 2021, at the Gudu Christian Cemetery Apo in Abuja.
He is survived by a grandmother, father, two brothers, uncles, aunties and cousins.
May his good legacy live on.
